Meet Our Team

RJ was in active addiction for over twenty years and several years of prison and jails before he finally got clean and sober. He founded Get Sober Stay Sober in November 2019 with starting a Facebook page for those in recovery and still suffering from addiction to come together to help and support each other. From there it has blown up to over 5 thousand followers and 4 years of We Do Recover. He is now over 4 years clean and owns a for profit business along with this non profit. He is a proud father and step father and loves giving back to the community.

Shane was born and raised in a small town in Indiana. Shane has spent over 20 years in active addiction before getting clean and sober over 3 years ago. He now works for the state of Indiana in the recovery community. He is the program director in Delaware County of the newly formed program IRACS. He is a proud father of Briana and has a child on the way today. He has sit on the board for Get Sober Stay Sober for 2 years now and helps with meeting people still suffering where they are. Shane has a fiance, Brandi, that walks along side and supports him in his steps of recovery and his dedication to the recovery community.

Tara has been a part of Get Sober Stay Sober since the day it was created. She has dedicated herself to working endless hours in the recovery community. She works at Avenues Recovery Center as their Alumni Coordinator. Tara has been in recovery for over 6 years now after spending several years in active addiction. She works very hard for the event every year making sure the kids have a great time while the parents can enjoy the speakers and performers. She also makes sure there is gift baskets for the adults and the kids every year. 

Taryn has been with Get Sober Stay Sober since it was created. She has, as a teenager, dedicated to giving back to the community. She has built all websites, made flyers, formed fundraisers and so much more for Get Sober Stay Sober. Taryn has never experienced what addiction feels like herself but brings her experience as a child of an addict to the team. She graduated High School in 2023, and is attending college to get her masters in therapy. She has a passion to help children of addicts to understand addiction and help them with their struggles that they endure from being a child of an addict. Taryn is the heart of Get Sober Stay Sober .
